History

CNP Technologies was founded in 1995 as Computer Network Power with a focus on quality on-site service and an expertise in thin client computing. Core qualities such as responsiveness, attention to detail and professional service allowed Computer Network Power to grow steadily in the Charlotte and surrounding area. In 1999, Computer Network Power merged with Learning Station.com; an ASP specializing in applications for the K-12 education market. Computer Network Power provided Learningstation.com the necessary thin client expertise (Citrix) used to deliver the applications to the desktop of the students.

In early 2000, Computer Network Power was purchased by Wesley Clark and John Garrett; both with extensive experience in sales and delivery of technology services.  The two were motivated to continue the same high standard of quality while steadily adding to the customer base and to the company's product and services offerings.

In 2002 CNP became one of the first ten resellers for Shoreline VOIP telephone systems (now ShoreTel).  In 2007 CNP earned distinction as the number one ShoreTel reseller worldwide among over 500 ShoreTel resellers and in 2008 and in 2009 was recognized as number two overall in terms of sales and customer satisfaction. CNP now supports over 240 different enterprises that have ShoreTel installed; accounting for over 36,000 licensed endpoints across the U.S and internationally.

The company has continued to excel and expand and in 2004 Computer Network Power was renamed CNP Technologies to reflect the growing array of products and services the company offered. Since then, CNP has expanded to include personnel in Charleston, SC, Atlanta, GA, Raleigh, NC, and Parkersburg, WV to service their growing clientele and markets served.
